Every semester, the Studentenwerk Würzburg offers rooms reserved for international students in their halls of residence. As a FHWS exchange student you can apply for one such room. Keep in mind that there is only a limited number of rooms available, which means that you should meet the deadline and apply as early as possible.

In Würzburg, there are eleven student residences operated by the Studentenwerk. Depending on the residence, you can choose between single apartments and rooms in shared apartments. In general, the residences are within walking distance to campus. You can find information on the furnishing and the location of the places in the overview on the website of the Studentenwerk.

In addition to the Studentenwerk, other organisations such as 522 Apartunities also offer student residences. The Studentenwerk has compiled an overview of other student accommodations.

You can also look for accommodation on your own. However, the housing market in Würzburg is very competitive, so it might be a good idea to start looking for an apartment early, preferably from home. To help you with looking for a new place to stay, we have selected a few helpful websites:

WG-Gesucht
HomeCompany
ImmoScout24
Immowelt
Facebook group: FHWS - Internationale Studierende Würzburg

One more thing to keep in mind when looking for a place: In Germany, rooms are usually rented unfurnished. So, unless the advertisement explicitly states that the room is furnished, you will need to bring all necessary furniture and appliances yourself. Usually, there are a lot of students who go abroad or leave for an internship in a different city and therefore temporarily let their rooms in Würzburg. You can often find such ads on Facebook or on the pages mentioned above.
